Ms. Natasha Smith grew up in Fairburn, Georgia, where she attended South Fulton County Schools. Now in her 16th year of service to education, she has built a career grounded in instructional excellence, strong relationships, and a commitment to student success. Ms. Smith earned a dual bachelor’s degrees in Early Childhood Education and Special Needs  from Mercer University and a master’s degree in Instructional Technology from Kennesaw State University. In 2022, she was selected to participate in the Fulton County Schools/Georgia State University Tier I Certification Program, where she earned her Educational Leadership Certification.

Ms. Smith began her career as a classroom teacher at Bethune Elementary School in College Park, Georgia, before continuing her teaching career at Evoline C. West Elementary School in Fairburn. During her years at Evoline C. West, she expanded her leadership experience through several roles, including STEM Teacher, STEM Coordinator, Instructional Math Coach, and Curriculum Specialist. She later transitioned into school administration, serving her first year as an Assistant Principal at Conley Hills Elementary School in East Point before serving two years as an Assistant Principal at Love T. Nolan Elementary School in College Park/South Fulton.

An experienced, data-driven, and collaborative leader, Ms. Smith is known for her strong work ethic, high expectations, and commitment to excellence in education. One of the proudest highlights of her career was serving as a key contributor to her school’s achievement of Georgia State STEM Certification—becoming one of only 60 certified schools in the state at the time and the first in South Fulton County. She has also led reading and mathematics initiatives designed to close learning gaps, strengthen instruction, and improve academic outcomes for students.

Ms. Smith is a visionary and relationship-centered leader who believes that meaningful connections with students, staff, and families are essential to building a thriving school community. She is committed to fostering a culture of high expectations, collaboration, and continuous growth while ensuring that students receive the support and opportunities they need to succeed. Above all, Ms. Smith remains passionate about serving children, supporting families, and making a positive and lasting impact through educational leadership.
